Construction
- All wood arrives with 6-7% moisture content and remains the same throughout the building process.
- Wood is carefully selected for consistent color and grain pattern
- Face frames are built from solid wood and glued and clamped to the cases, not nailed.
- Cases are built from either solid wood or 3/4"maple veener core plywood.
- Scribes are built into the cabinets eliminating unsightly filler strips.
- All cabinets are built with as few cases as possible eliminating as many joints as possible between cabinets. (i.e. A island can often be built as one large cabinet, rather than most manufactured cabinets that arrive in parts and pieces.)
- Doors and End Panels are constructed using mortise and tenon joinery
- Drawer boxes are constructed of 5/8" thick hard maple using dovetail joinery.
- All cabinets are built in the inset style (where doors and drawers shut flush with the face frames).
Hand Finishing
- Our stain finishes are hand applied using a five step process.
- Our painted finishes are brushed or hand sprayed for a durable yet beautiful finish.
We use only the very best materials and construction methods , insuring our cabinetry will last for generations
